I hope everyone is enjoying the first day of May! I started visiting some antique stores about a year and a half ago. Since then I have accumulated a little vinyl collection. I really enjoy getting to listen to the music from them and am glad I have spent the time searching for good copies of albums I like. I hope that as time continues my collection grows. Below is a sneak peek of part of my collection as well as a photo template I created. They are some of my favorite albums although when flipping through the sleeves I have a hard time picking favorites. Have a great rest of the week!
For the last couple of days….(maybe a week or more) I have been needing a mental vacation from everything. I like to think that I work hard I work almost full time during the day, during the evenings I try to practice graphic design, blogging, and photography. On the weekends when I am not cleaning I try to do even more learning and practicing. I guess after a year and a half it all caught up with me and I just needed a break. Well here we go I need to get myself out of this so I have decided that I am going to create some photo layouts for use in collages or on blogs. I have seen really wonderful examples from around the web and am armed and ready to produce photo templates. I plan to make them very user-friendly and maybe down the road will provide them for download. I have been experimenting with the process and if you go back through some of my recent posts you will see an example of my photo templates.
This weekend marks my nieces 5 ½ month mark. She amazes me every time I go home and get to see her. Because of the circumstances surrounding her birth my sister was not able to announce that Lilly was born. I know this was a really hard thing for my sister as it would be for any mom who is excited about having a baby come into this world. So I offered to do a shoot with Lilly and get something that can be passed out at her 6-month mark.
Lilly is the sweetest thing ever and I love her to pieces but she is a little diva. I was only able to get about 10 minutes with her in a decent mood while not crying about having to lean back instead of sitting straight up.
I also took some pictures of the tulips and trees that are blooming. It was a refreshing weekend. Have a great week!
Hello, my post for this week is a successful mini photo shoot. I did it in celebration as the weather finally improved and spring is on it’s way. I used my boyfriend as the subject and took some spring pictures of him outside in the beautiful weather. Below are a couple of the shots we had a lot of fun and I look forward to doing it again. I am looking forward to shooting my nieces 6-month photos this next weekend and I will keep practicing and getting better.

Make it a great week!
It’s the end of February and I found out I am not so good at these challenges. I forget to look at what I’m supposed to take photos of for the day. I did however have a lot of fun with what I was able to accomplish. I hope to do another one and get better. Below are some of my February Photo Challenge Photos. Enjoy!
February is finally here. I’ve been looking forward to today for a long time. About 2 weeks ago I decided I was going to participate in a month long photo challenge and have been dying to start. I came across the photo challenge on Raising Monkey, Loving Sarge and really liked the challenges. I’ve already brainstormed how I am going to accomplish some of them. I still haven’t decided if I will try posting them all once a day, doing a post of my favorites at the end, or tweeting them all and doing a large wrap up post. If you choose to participate, choose some one or all days to take photos and let me know which one was your favorite. Remember as always to have fun and make it your own.
